Imagine: It's afternoon, you're sat at work at your desk and you've just had lunch. That afternoon sleepiness is kicking in! So how can you boost your energy levels in the afternoon?

There are number of things you can do to beat of the afternoon yawns. To boost your energy levels in the afternoon why not try going for a quick walk or undertake some other form of exercise in your lunch break? It will get the blood flowing around your body and have you feeling energised for the rest of the day.

Stretching is another way to boost your energy levels in the afternoon. Having a stretch helps to release tension in both the mind and muscles and helps you to refocus your thoughts.

Try a 15 minute massage at your desk for another way to boost your energy levels in the afternoon. It helps to clear your mind, release stress and tension and it gets the blood flowing too!

Another good idea to boost your energy levels in the afternoon is to drink more water as dehydration can make you feel sluggish and sleepy. You should also choose your lunch food wisely as food high in sugar or carbohydrates can leave you feeling quite sleepy.

To boost your energy levels in the afternoon you could also try using aromatherapy oils such as cinnamon or rosemary, eating or drinking something with caffeine in it, taking a power-nap or heading outside. Fresh air and sunshine can do wonders and boost your energy levels in the afternoon.
