Freebies: How Free Is Free?

Who doesn't like a free offer? With the age of the internet, there are hundreds, if not thousands, of free offers to choose from. But is that free offer really free? While researching free offers, there were some 100% freebies out there. What I mean by 100% free is that there was no registration, no mailing list one goes on, no purchase necessary. And there is a no frills form where the freebies lover puts in his name and address. No catches at all.
Most free offers found however, were not free. That free $500 gift card to an appealing store is going to cost you. You may have to sign up for multiple offers, where you will have to put in your credit card information, join a club or make some kind of purchase. But be assured that you will be spending money for that "free" gift card. There are thousands of offers like this. People need to study the fine print so that they are not doing anything that they are not comfortable with, and that they are not spending a fortune for a freebie.
The trick to finding 100% freebies is to first go to websites that have names you can trust. One example is a food brand. Many food company sites have a section called "promotions" where they offer all their free items. Jean Francesca Jewelers, located at http://www.jeanfrancesca.com has many free jewelry promotions. The freebie promotions are 100% free. There are some free promotions on the internet, but it takes a lot of work to find freebies that really are free.
